💛 Why I Do This Work

Over the years, I’ve seen the same pattern again and again:

People study for years…
They understand a lot…
But when it’s time to speak, they freeze.

Not because they’re not capable.
But because the way they learned didn’t truly support them.

That’s why I created a different approach.

One that focuses on real communication, confidence, and personal guidance—not just lessons.

🌍 My Journey

My path with languages has been anything but ordinary.

I hold a Master’s degree in Spanish Language and Literature from the University of Amsterdam, and shortly after, I moved to Málaga, where I lived for over a decade.

There, I worked as a legal translator and interpreter in Dutch, English, and Spanish, collaborating with Ofilingua, supporting court proceedings for the Junta de Andalucía.

This experience sharpened something essential:

At the same time, I began tutoring (since 2005), working closely with students and discovering what truly helps people learn.

🧭 From Experience to Transformation

In 2015, I returned to Curaçao, where everything came together.

I combined my experience in:

Languages
Coaching
Education
Human connection

And developed a more intuitive, personalised way of teaching.

This is what eventually became the Language Breakthrough Program.

My work is not about pushing students.

It’s about understanding:

where you get stuck
what you need to feel confident

📚 Beyond Teaching

Alongside my work with students, I’m also a writer.

I’ve explored my creative side through fantasy storytelling, including my novel De hogepriesteres van Aruc, where I bring imagination, symbolism, and deeper meaning into my work.

That creativity flows into my teaching too—because language is not just structure, it’s expression.

I’m also a wife and a mother.

Which means I understand real life:

Busy schedules, responsibilities, and the need for learning to actually fit into your world.
